ABOUT ŌKAMI RESTAURANT AND TSUKI LOUNGE

ŌKAMI RESTAURANT  & TSUKI LOUNGE — a sophisticated and wholly unique restaurant and lounge located in the Miami Design District.  Ōkami will offer multi-sensory Nikkei Cuisine, Nikkei Omakase, and Wagyu Omakase experiences unlike any other. Tsuki Lounge will offer a world-class mixology program as well as a year-round company for those who share this and other lifestyle interests.

ŌKAMI means the great Japanese wolf and Tsuki means moon in Japanese. Like an urban wolf den looking at the moon, the provocative double-height spaces are finished in sleek natural stone, granite, and crystal. From the open dining room to the sushi bar with its view into the hot kitchen, to the show-stopping second-floor bar and lounge, private balcony and alfresco patio seating, every one of the 170 seats in the house is part of an exciting, earthy-but-elevated environment and vibrant, white-hot energy.

As guests enter this Design District location, adjacent to Prada and across from Chanel, the first floor leads to outdoor seating in the Jade courtyard, surrounded by limestone facades and landscaped with lush foliage. The main dining room is guarded by a mural called “Nikkei Geisha” designed by Ruben Ubiera, a neo-figurative post-graffism artist from the Dominican Republic, talks about the Peruvian Nikkei Culture fusion.

Our stunning mural on top of our first floor Bar called Silent Sky by Umberto Stagni from Italy, orient is his inspiration, a place where nature, the symbolism of fantastic myths, and surreal light visions are a constant nourishment for fantasy. Umberto chooses the themes of play and flight through a harmonic and fluid twine of subjects with a striking impact and bold colors.

The main bar and lounge on the second floor is accessed by stairs and back elevator. The majestic second level features panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto the street below, giving the entire space an airy, terrace-like feel. A black granite bar lines the room, with private lockers available for clients who like to store their own libations on the premises. At the south end of the room, a VIP area opens onto a private balcony overlooking the Jade courtyard.

On our main lounge to the north end of our second floor, we feature our “Japanese Kamasutra, the art of lovemaking” designed by Wuilfredo Soto, a visual artist from Caracas Venezuela.

From the channeled banquettes to the granite tables and bars to the chandeliers, every inch of Ōkami and Tsuki is finished with impeccable detail.

Our menu offers Nikkei classics, including nigiri sushi using the freshest Peruvian ingredients full of umami flavors. A vast array of sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and fresh seafood is artfully prepared each night. Traditional Omakase platters Izakaya sharing style plates are menu highlights as well as other Peruvian signature dishes including fresh vegetables, seafood, and fish.

On our first-floor bar we offer Nikkei Omakase and Wagyu Omakase Kaiseki style menu from Thursdays to Sundays.

The all-star team includes Chef Manuel Tenguan Asato.
